We look forward to seeing you in Brisbane!

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce and invite you to “save the date” for the 41st Annual Scientific meeting (ASM) of the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) which will be held from Sunday 18 – Tuesday 20th June 2023 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in beautiful and sunny Brisbane, Queensland.

The TSANZ Scientific Program and Education Committee (SPEC), in conjunction with the TSANZ Council, have prepared an exciting program convened by Dr Chandima Divithotawela and A/Professor Antiopi Varelias.

This year's program features Plenary sessions from several renowned international speakers on recent advances in the areas of transplant immunology, xenotransplantation, emerging cellular therapies, chronic rejection and organ donation. Not limited to this, the program will also span transplant genetics, cutting-edge basic science topics, ethical issues of transplantation and will include a Women in Transplant (WIT) session.

As with previous years, this year, we are delighted to host three pre-ASM sessions including:

  • an HLA Day on Friday 16th June (convened by Dr Lucy Sullivan and Rhonda Holdsworth)
  • the Postgraduate Course on Saturday 17th June (convened by Dr Jennifer Li and Dr Handoo Rhee)
  • the Masterclass on Sunday 18th June (convened by Steven Hiho and Dr Georgina Irish).

The annual Awards dinner with live entertainment will be held in the iconic Brisbane City Hall, a short stroll along the Victoria Bridge over the stunning Brisbane River. Besides networking opportunities, several social events are planned by the TSANZ Early Career Researcher Committee (ECRC) including:

  • the annual Fun Run
  • Early Career researchers' drinks after the PGC on Saturday
  • “Meet a Researcher” event

We look forward to welcoming you to Australia’s River City in June 2023 for what will be an exceptional and exciting meeting!
